Something new in my photobook oeuvre: a photo novel. In five chapters, I tell a subtle story of our contemporary world, mostly of life in New York City, in a new style, unique to me: color photos of high contrast on faded white backgrounds. It’s a book of philosophical enquiry, political anxiety, passion, beauty, and sadness, all enwrapped within a fine mist of unsettled tranquility.
Chapters
Welcome to New York
Every Day Is History
Beneath the Diamond Sky
Can We Wash Away All Sins?
Yet Art Is Eternal
The book originated as photos printed on Japanese Hanji Gureum paper encased in a homemade box tied with a red string. A few copies of this handmade box, signed, are for sale. Please inquire.
