These photos were all taken during my quarantine during the Covid pandemic. They were shot in our front yard, about fifty feet from our front door.
Below is a poem I wrote about taking these photographs.
The Light the Light
A gentle glow, a shimmering boom
In this topsy-turvy summer of doom
Another splintered eruption of dawn
At the end of my green carpeted lawn
Armageddon lies coiled, coy and alive
Tongue quick, teeth sharp, a deathly vibe
Quick! I flick my shutter, a swooning dive
Into the darkness, the invisible blight
Holding tight to the fraught edges of night
As each morning we pray again for the healing light
The light the light … the light the light
